Angela Ward has been an animal lover her entire life. She has been a pet-parent to many different animals over the years
including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and even a sheep! Her love of animals carried over to her professional life 10 years
ago when she began her career in the pet care industry. She started out as an assistant to a dog trainer and then moved on to
become the manager of a local boarding kennel. Angela founded Always There Pet Care in 2007, as a high quality alternative to
boarding kennels. Her goal with Always There Pet Care was to create a pet sitting service that combines her love of animals with
her extensive knowledge, practical experience and professional training to offer her clients the complete pet care experience.
Angela has obtained 3 levels of certification through an educational course provided by the Pet Care Services Association (formerly the American Boarding Kennels Association). This association helps to set the standard for high quality care that all pets deserve from professionals in the pet care industry. She is an Advanced Pet Care Technician and a Certified Kennel Operator. She has been trained in pet first aid and CPR. She has also attended several canine behaviour seminars, including one presented by PAVSKI at Guelph University.
In her spare time, Angela volunteers with All Breed Canine Rescue and supports other local animal welfare organizations.
She has also been involved in a number of fundraisers that benefit the animals in our community including Bark in the Park,
Weinerfest, Pooch Plunge, Dog Days of Summer and Click for Tricks. She is also a current member of the London Dog
Owners Association and The Canadian Animal Assistance Team. |
